1:1 Scale interactive installation driven by research of how broadband connectivity, cloud computing, social media, and sensors are coming together to change the way we interact, consume, transport, and shape a new urban landscape blurred by digital and physical stimuli.
The adoption of a wide variety of digital technologies and services enable people, companies, governments, and even machines to stay connected and communicate with one another, gathering, analyzing, and exchanging massive amounts of information on all kinds of activities. Integration of technologies into everyday life reveal that tech has just penetrated the sector, and in this project we use data collection, interactive computation, and robotic fabrication to create a prototype for a structure that connects people and their cities.
The final installation was digitally modeled and fabricated using KUKA Robotics and assembled manually. This process created a prototype for an installation which can easily be built and modified to its unique site and purpose. Whether it’s collecting climate data, sound or air pollution levels, citizens will gather and create a new urban landscape through an immersive audiovisual interaction.
